    Housing stabilization

Housing stabilization training for tenants moving into housing

Moving into housing is when practical skills matter most: paying rent, working with a landlord, handling a lease, keeping the unit. Housing Stabilization Training (HST) is designed so people complete that education directly, while the supporting organization keeps a record of completion.

    Built for

    • Housing providers and permanent supportive housing programs
    • Continuums of Care (CoCs) and their partner agencies
    • Medicaid housing-support and tenancy-sustaining service organizations

    Where it breaks down

    • Education is delivered inconsistently

Tenancy education often depends on which case manager is available and how much time they have.

    • Completion is hard to verify

Programs need to show that training occurred, but sign-in sheets and notes are slow to collect and review.

    • Staff time goes to repetition

Case managers repeat the same basic material instead of working on the issues specific to each tenant.

    What we design

    1. 01

      Self-paced tenant curriculum

Plain-language modules on the practical parts of keeping housing, designed to be completed by the tenant directly.

    2. 02

      Assignment and access

The system design includes staff-issued assignments and secure learner links. Which features are active depends on how a deployment is configured.

    3. 03

      Progress and comprehension checks

Designed to show staff what was completed and where a tenant may need follow-up.

    4. 04

      Deployment and implementation support

Configuration, rollout, and licensing are discussed with each organization.
